Baht Oyunu Episode 8 "Misplaced Ring Misadventures?"

Recap

No lies, I'm feeling slightly burnt out on Baht Oyunu which is why it has taken me over a week to watch this episode. More on that later

Review

-Sigh, Bora Bey is a hard ass, no? What will he do when the WHOLE truth comes out? I'm with Ada on this one. Life is complicated and messy and gray. Bora's self righteousness in this episode is not attractive. And he's doubting her writing ability... give him his crap pen back and get the hell out of there because none of these people deserve you.

-More on this mysterious Alsi... who was she, when is she coming to destroy Bora's peace?

-Drunk Bora is not as fun as Drunk Ozan. Look, I know I shouldn't compare these two shows, but since everyone already is... I might as well jump on board. Drunk Bora is a bit pathetic.

-Tugce gets blackmailed into taking Ada to work as her assistant and as predicted, it doesn't go as planned. Bora says if Ada doesn't do her job well Tugce will fired, which seems kind of crappy since she technically owns 25 % of the shares of the company and has known Bora since childhood.

-Look, I know this is a show but it has some WEIRD employee/employer dynamics.

-Ada and Tugce get railroaded into securing an interview with the teacher from Afili Ask/personal trainer from Sol Yanim. He's a bit of a douche in this show as well. Bora can barely disguise his jealousy which ends in a fight and then some weird offer for Ada to appear in a commercial with the guy. None of this makes any sense so I'll just say, I THINK it was supposed to be charming, but didn't turn out to be charming.

-The most interesting dynamic forming is the Ada/Tugce alliance when they turn into mean girls for a common cause. Then apparently Belma/Crazier Aunt are uniting to keep Bora and Ada apart whilst it looks like Crazy Aunt/Bora's dad are teaming up to get Bora and Ada together?

-We do have one sweet moment with Evrem, who apparently uses his flamboyant persona as a mask to shield his true feelings. He explains what it is like to be an orphan, summing up Ada's dilemmas as well.

-Overall the issue with the wedding ring floated around the entire episode only for Elif to find it at the end of the episode and show ti to Bora.

Thoughts/Predictions
-At this point, I'm a bit bored. While there were sweet and comedic moments overall this plot is going nowhere. There are no resolutions and after a while all the comedy is just various versions of what we've already seen before. Again, I think this show needs to only be an hour and a half.
-They aren't utilizing the Elif storylines enough. I always liked those sections.
-Apparently Bora gets a new assistant and she's awful.
-An Evrem makeover.
