You Win... This Year

I love real Christmas Trees. LOVE them. Granted, I do think that you should go out to the woods and get your own rather than buying one, but that is just me.

The Beardocrat hates real Christmas Trees. HATES them (I actually don't know if he feels THAT strongly about it, but he did sketch a picture of a weeping Christmas Tree next to his fallen comrade with the title "Merry Christmas"). Last year Big Steve brought us a tree. This year there is no real tree. There is a crochet tree...

I like how one of your labels for this post is "weeping." Is that because of the picture of a weeping tree, or because you are weeping at not getting a real tree this year?

I love the crochet tree!!!! It reminds me of a little ceramic one my Granny gave me when I was little...unfortunately, it gotten broken in one of our 10 or so moves...Though I don't agree with your husband, I have to say he's pretty clever!

A crochet tree is NOT acceptable. Tell that son of mine to go get a tree, but you best specify he can not cut one down in the city park. Blame it on the blizzard of 82..that is why he grew up with an artificial tree. It was however a lovely blizzard..no one could get anywhere...thus no one could visit us..Dan was in heaven! He even got to ski to get to the grocery store.

I LOVE christmas trees! Real ones are the best! They smell so good. Real Christmas trees are so so so so so much better.

Sad... I love real trees, I love having that smell in the house. Sadly I will probably end up with a fake tree.

Due to Bobaloo's allergies, we always had a fake tree, but the hubby is totally against fake, so we've had a real one since we got married--until last year. They don't have wilderness areas to go get trees here, and I just can't stomach the idea of paying good money for a pencil sharpened tree. So until we move back to the land of free, original Christmas trees, we're stuck.

I don't think you should give in! I'll sneak over sometime this week with a tree and we can put it up when the beardocrat isn't looking. I'm totally serious. I even have a van to stuff a tree in. You know how to contact me.
